The day began in the quiet hush of early morning. 4 am wake up call, Chelsey and Ryan relaxed in their cozy Airbnb. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the space as they sat together at the small kitchen table in the dim glow of the kitchen lights. There was something unspoken between them, an excitement wrapped in calm.
The drive to the cliffs was peaceful, the sky shifting through shades of pink and gold as the sun began its ascent. When we arrived, the rest of their family was waiting excitedly. They chose to have a sunrise ceremony on Otter cliffs with the gentle sound of waves crashing against the rocks providing nature’s own wedding music. The ceremony was simple and heartfelt as they exchanged a few kind words, knowing that their private vows would come later.
After the sunrise elopement on Otter cliffs, Chelsey & Ryan ventured off to explore Jordan Pond where they swapped vow books and shared an intimate moment before portraits. As the day unfolded, we took a slow drive to Southwest Harbor, stopping at a small local coffee shop.
That evening, their reception at Sweet Pea’s Cafe was filled with everything that made the day special: family, good food, and music. Under the soft glow of string lights, with laughter and clinking glasses surrounding them, Chelsey and Ryan’s elopement day came to a close exactly as it had begun—with love, intention, and with the quiet magic of simply being together with family.
