When thinking of places to accommodate guests during your elopement in Acadia National Park, the Bar Harbor Inn is one of the most stunning locations I can think of. It provides space to get ready with guests, balconies overlooking the coast of Maine and sits along the rocky shoreline of Bar Harbor which makes for beautifully unique spots to say private vows at. It’s located in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor, which makes it very easy to be able to explore fun shops, walk along the water, and there’s 3 restaurants on site. With it being less that 20 minutes away from Acadia, it makes for the perfect spot to begin your adventure!

Karly and Ryan started their morning by getting ready on separate floors in their suite with family there. It felt intimate and relaxed as they were still close to each-other but weren’t able to see one another before their private vows on the shoreline. Their main goal was to feel relaxed on their wedding day, be able to have moments where it was just them, but also include their loved ones. Being able to get ready with their family was a big priority as they wanted to keep all the small traditional aspects present during their elopement.
Before we left for Otter Cliffs, Karly & Ryan wanted to do a first look and exchange private vows along the shoreline of Bar Harbor. Making sure they had time to have a moment between just the two of them before their ceremony was important!
After Karly & Ryan exchanged private vows in Bar Harbor, we drove to one of my favorite locations in Acadia that accommodates so well for families-Otter Point! This location is perfect for anyone who wants enough space to fit up to ~25 guests. It’s also popular because of it’s unique staircase that acts as an “aisle”, for couples who are looking to walk down the aisle outdoors!
